National Geoscience Database of Venezuela (NGDV) is the first database in South America and presents geoscience information in different fields such as geology, mineral resources & reserves, geography and natural hazards. It includes various databases which present services via web. NGDV is the result of National Geoscience Database of Iran experts' attempts.

   Implementation of National Geoscience Database of Venezuela (NGDV)
   In 2004, a board, consisting of five members, from National Institute of Geology and Mining of Venezuela (INGEOMIN) visited Geological Survey of Iran (GSI) and National Geoscience Database of Iran (NGDIR) and signed an agreement with Iran to expand mutual geological research collaborations and take advantage of Iranian experts� knowledge. Then, Mr Khatami, president of Iran at that time, and a board from GSI & NGDIR traveled to Venezuela for signing a cooperation agreement.
